TXT Records
Dive into TXT records and their place inside the DNS system.
TXT is a DNS record, that contains data in human-readable form for external sources to obtain information about a particular domain name or subdomain. In the most common case, this type of record is employed to prove that you own a domain if you're trying to add it to a search engine or to some site traffic analytics platform. Since just the Internet domain owner/administrator can add custom DNS records, the TXT record serves as a proof of ownership for the business supplying the service. Another popular use for this kind of records is the email SPF (Sender Policy Framework) security, which ensures that an email address won't be spoofed and that others will not get unsolicited mail from allegedly your mailbox. The TXT record includes information about the mail server where your online messages originate from and serves as confirmation that it is a reliable one. Because there are no rules about the content of this type of a record, you could also include any other information also.

TXT Records in Hosting
If you have a hosting account and you want to create a TXT record for any purpose for a domain name or a subdomain hosted within it, you'll be able to do that with a few mouse clicks inside your Hepsia Control Panel. The new record shall be live right after that, so a search engine, for example, can pick it up to validate that you're the owner of a particular Internet site in just a few minutes. You can set up the TXT record from the DNS Records section of your CP where you shall also find all the other records for your domain names. All you will need to do shall be to pick the Internet domain or subdomain and also the record type via drop-down menus, input the text content and save the change. If you aren't sure how to handle it, you may also check out our step-by-step guide, which you will find in the Help section of your account, or you can also contact our tech support team to help you with the creation of the new record.
- TXT Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A new TXT record can be set up for every domain or subdomain you have added to a semi-dedicated server account from our company and the Hepsia CP, provided with all accounts created on our progressive cloud platform, will enable you to do that with ease regardless of your level of understanding of such matters. All domains/subdomains that you have will be listed in alphabetical order within a drop-down menu, so after you choose the one that you need and you pick TXT as the record type, you'll simply have to input the text that will be the actual record and you'll be ready. This is done inside the DNS Records section of the Control Panel and if you experience any issues, you will find a step-by-step tutorial in the same section. Our technical support team will also be there for you 24/7 and they can help you with any questions you might have. Within an hour the new record shall be operational, so you can carry on with the task you require it for. - TXT Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
